That was excellent! I love that a 10 year old boy knits and you could show him how to use double pointed needles. I've never really travelled on a subway before so its a great view into what commuting would be like. This is beautiful Melissa. Well done xxx

I’m not a knitter but I crochet and I love the little connections you can make when crocheting in a public space. I was on a train once where there ended up being two others crafting and we ended up moving so we could sit together. As an introvert it’s a great way to start a conversation with people. I also took along one of my crochet projects (a shawl with a super repetitive pattern) when I had an operation so I had something to do while in the waiting area. The girl next to me was watching my work. Then all of a sudden asked a nurse if she could grab her bag from her locker so she could knit alongside me. She said she’d been too nervous about knitting in front of others but here we were now crafting together while we waited. So calming and grounding.
